Workshop - Sport Nutrition Workshop

    Improving sports performance through good nutrition

    This workshop is designed for those who are active in sports and would like to improve their health and maximize their performance through good nutrition. The small group size allows participants the opportunity to discuss and ask questions relevant to their sport. Each participant will have the opportunity to have their weight assessed (weight, BMI and %body fat) and participants will be encouraged to examine their own diets and to identify possible areas of improvement.

    This interactive programme comprises 4 sessions and is taught by a qualified sport dietitian, topics include:

    • Importance of healthy body weight, its assessment and healthy eating
    • Eating to improve sports performance, diet for competitions
    • Fluid and hydration in sports
    • Dietary supplements and sports
    • Dining out & suitable food choices when traveling or at competition
    • Reading food labels, recipe modification and cooking
