With the motto "Education with a Global Vision", the Centre for International Degree Programmes (CIDP) was established by HKU SPACE in 2003 in response to the demand for academic advancement by graduates of Associate Degree and Higher Diploma programmes. In the academic year of 2010/11, more than 20 full-time top-up degree programmes will be offered in collaboration with internationally-renowned universities.
These full-time top-up degree programmes are offered in collaboration with internationally-renowned universities in Australia and the United Kingdom, including
- Curtin University of Technology
- Edinburgh Napier University
- Middlesex University
- Northumbria University
- The University of Hull
- University of London (Lead Colleges: London School of Economics and Political Science* / Goldsmiths College)
- The University of Strathclyde
- The University of Surrey
- The University of Western Australia*

Since the establishment of the Centre, around 5,000 graduates have successfully acquired their degree qualifications in art and design, business studies, information technology, social, cultural and media studies, and tourism and hospitality. Most graduates now work in the business sector, creative industries, tourism industry or I.T. companies. Some have also continued to pursue higher qualifications in local or international institutions.
In line with the growing demand in Hong Kong, full-time post-graduate diploma programmes in areas of Information Technology and Media & Cultural Critique will be launched in 2010.
