  • The establishment of the Centre for Research in Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning in September 2007 was a strategic initiative aimed at maintaining HKU SPACE in the forefront of Hong Kong’s continuing education sector. In addition to institutional research, the Centre strives for excellence to expand its influence locally, nationally and internationally through conducting quality research projects, organising academic activities, publishing academic publications, providing research training, and developing a research culture in HKU SPACE.

The Centre is committed to becoming a centre of excellence to act as a bridge for academic exchange between China and the rest of the world in the field of continuing education and lifelong learning, to generate and disseminate knowledge through an international electronic platform, and to work with others to bring this knowledge to bear on the emerging challenges of globalisation in the education industry.

Chief Advisor: Professor Enoch C. M. Young
