The Centre for Creative and Performing Arts was established in January 2008. It aims to develop innovative education programmes in creative and performing arts while nurturing appropriate environment and cultural life for the citizens of Hong Kong.
Mission & Vision:
- To realize lifelong learning in the arts through educational programmes and professional activities at all levels.
- To produce professionals for the creative industries of Hong Kong and the nearby regions.
- To create an artistic atmosphere and habit in the society for social harmony and mutual appreciation through experiencing art.
- To encourage a global view through the learning of world art and to enable the preservation and promotion of Chinese culture through the learning of Chinese art.

Art Management Programmes
Apart from creative talents and frontline art workers, Hong Kong needs professional managers and promoters who can turn art and culture into an attractive and sustainable trade to incorporate with the development of the West Kowloon Cultural District. The School offers a broad range of postgraduate level programmes, including the management of creative industries, museums and integrated arts, in order to enrich the professional knowledge of the practicing mid-to-senior management and those interested to join the industries.

Performing Art Programmes
In accordance to inspire a new way of thinking and enhance the ability of art appreciation of the general public, the School offers a wide spectrum of performing art programmes, covering vocal training, dancing, theatre-based training, music instrument and multimedia knowledge.

Other Art Programmes
The School also offers visual art and other art-related programmes, such as photographic art, music therapy and cultural studies, from introductory to postgraduate level to equip local artists to diversify their creative careers.

Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Industries Management (Arts and Culture) Taiwan Study Tour, 2009
Students visited a wide spectrum of cultural and art venues such as the National Palace Museum, Taiwan Design Center and Xue Xue Institute in Taiwan to enrich their understanding of creative management in different settings.

CCPA organised its first field trip to Shanghai to foster understanding of the latest creative industries management initiatives in the mainland.
